U.R. Sahu Appointed as New RPSC Chairman 2025

Utkal Ranjan Sahu has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Rajasthan Police Service Commission (RPSC) by the Rajasthan Government. Before this, he had been serving as a senior IPS officer in Rajasthan. The official appointment order was issued on 10 June 2025 by the Governor of Rajasthan, Haribhau Bagde.

Who is U. R. Sahu?

U. R. Sahu is an IPS officer from the Odisha cadre, belonging to the 1988 batch. Most of his service has been spent in Rajasthan itself. He is well known for his honesty and disciplined working style. During his service as IPS officer, he has worked in various important positions in the Rajasthan police department.

Superintendent of Police (SP) in 8 districts
Director General of Police (DGP) in Rajasthan

He has also worked in departments like CID-CB, Jail, and Home Guards. He got many offers to assume positions in the central deputation. But he always chose to work in the Rajasthan government.
